WHERE IS LAKE TEKAPO? Just three hours drive from Christchurch or Queenstown, or four hours drive from Dunedin, Lake Tekapo is situated in the very heart of the South Islands High Country HOW DO I GET THERE? Drive by car or take a bus from Chrischurch or Queenstown.
WHERE ARE THE LAKE TEKAPO COTTAGES? If you are coming from Christchurch,before you reach the village you will see a bridge crossing the outlet of the lake. Turn right before the bridge, down toward the lake, and the CHURCH OF THE GOOD SHEPERD.( Its signposted)Turn right again at the first side street, which is SEALY ST., which is a culdesac, and we are the last house. If you are coming from Queenstown, drive through the village and over the bridge at the outlet from the lake. Turn left directly at the end of the bridge down toward the lake, and the CHURCH OF THE GOOD SHEPERD.( Its signposted) Turn right again into SEALY ST. which is a culdesac, and we are the last house.
